BMW South Carolina Plant Reaches Important Company Milestone

We are proud to say that the BMW Group has accomplished a significant achievement in the U.S. market. It has been producing cars in its Spartanburg, SC plant for the past 25 years and BMW recently praised it for being the company's leading production site.

The location's growth and substantial additions along with the choice to make the BMW X models in South Carolina have propelled the plant to become the leading manufacturing location in the BMW Group production network in the past quarter-century.

Chairman of the Board of Management, Harald Krüger, said it would not have been conceivable without the support of South Carolina residents and elected officials.

So far BMW has committed eight billion dollars to the South Carolina plant and has also created about 3.9 million BMW cruisers there since it opened in 1994.
