Six Cylinders of Fire-Breathing Performance in the BMW M4

It’s been four years since BMW made the M3 a sedan-only line and gave us the M4 as its successor. In that time, the two-door super-four has more than filled the niche of its forebear, and generated a few special editions, to boot. But when it comes down to precision, power, and thrills, there’s no alternative.

The basic M4 comes with a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six that sends 425 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels. That’s good for a 0-60 sprint in under four seconds, but there are ways to further bolster that number. The Competition package raises horsepower to 444, and the CS limited edition gets ten more, for a 454 total. The M4 comes in both manual and automatic, with the latter getting a “Smokey Burnout” function, and numerous performance additions and offerings.

But it’s the experience of driving the M4 that really drives the point home for most prospective shoppers. If you’ve been eyeing this impressive two-door, schedule a test drive appointment by contacting our BMW dealership in Monrovia, CA as it’s convenient.
