We want you to be in the know, which is why we're shedding light on a BMW venture that's yet to come. The 2019 BMW Z4 roadster is expected to hit the BMW of Monrovia showroom in March 2019, but it's already stirring up trouble.

The Latest Z4 Ought to Be Taken Seriously

While it's engineered for joyrides through Monrovia Canyon Park, the 2019 BMW Z4 is a serious contender on the road. The rear-wheel drive sDrive30i will debut with a newly enhanced 2.0-liter four-cylinder TwinPower turbocharged engine that produces 255 horsepower and 382 pound-feet of torque. The eight-speed Steptronic® Sport transmission comes with steering-wheel-mounted shift paddles to control augmented gear shifts.

The chassis has also been redesigned; novel double-joint spring strut suspension up front complements the new five-link rear suspension for an even smoother ride to Maison Akira in Pasadena. You'll feel just as confident in the Z4 as a BMW i8 supercar.

Updated Details to Match

To keep things fair, BMW switched up detailed elements so that the whole Z4 is as modern as possible. A new soft top keeps the weight down and increases cargo storage by 50 percent. Moreover, BWM Personal Co-Pilot adds active safety like never before, and BMW Live Cockpit Professional unleashes the iDrive infotainment system's seventh generation of technology.

We could go on and on about this roadster, but we'll leave a little to the imagination. Keep your eye out for the 2019 BMW Z4 at BMW of Monrovia—which will be joining the ranks of the 2 Series and 4 Series in the coming months—so you can be one of the first to grasp the wheel.
