It's no coincidence that 2016 marks not only the launch of the most powerful and opulent BMW 7 Series yet, but also marks the brand's centennial. As one would expect, they're taking this opportunity to shake things up a little bit. Case-in-point, it would seem an M7 is in play. You know, that car we've dreamed of for forever.

We know this because the intrepid spy photographers at Autoblog recently put out some spy shots that show what appears to be a test bed for BMW M7 components. While the rumors of an M7 have persisted for nigh on two decades, it seems more and more apparent that our preferred Bavarian car maker is leaning in that direction. In the pictures, we can see enormous brakes with cross-drilling, just the thing a 600 hp-plus car would need.

We'll bring you more news as we get it. In the interim, stop by our new BMW dealership in Monrovia, CA and we'll set you up for a test drive.
