Recommended Service Intervals

Every 10,000 miles or 12 months, whichever comes first

• Oil Change (Synthetic motor oil replacement)
• Check and top off fluids (coolant, brake fluid, transmission fluid, etc.)
• Tire inspection and rotation
• Brake system inspection of pads, discs, and fluid levels
• Inspect air filters of cabin and engine
• Inspect lights and electrical systems

Every 20,000 miles or 2 years

• Replace air filters, if not done earlier
• Inspect spark plugs, some models may require replacement at this point
• Check alignment and suspension components
• Brake fluid replacement, every two years for optimal performance

Every 30,000 miles

• Replace cabin air filter
• Inspect and clean the fuel system, depending on your driving conditions

Every 60,000 miles

• Replace spark plugs, if not done earlier
• Transmission fluid change, for vehicles with automatic transmission, depending on model and transmission type
• Inspect and replace drive belts, if needed

Every 100,000 miles

• Replace timing belt, if applicable, especially for some older BMW X3 models
• Inspect and replace suspension components, such as struts or shocks

Additional Service Checks

• Tire pressure check, monthly
• Brake fluid change, typically every two years, even if the mileage is lower
• Battery check, annually after three years of ownership
• Coolant flush, every four years
